Shadow children's minister in row over children's centre

1 min read Early Years
A row has broken out between shadow children's minister Tim Loughton and West Sussex County Council over the opening of a new children's centre.

Loughton has been accused by West Sussex County Council of holding up the opening of a children's centre in his constituency.

The controversy is the result of a dispute over the location of a new family and children's centre proposed for the grounds of Vale School in Findon, Worthing.

Loughton, MP for Worthing and Shoreham, has accused West Sussex County Council of arrogance and incompetence, claiming they are "bulldozing" through with plans to build on the school grounds despite opposition from local residents.
