Overall, the government received 57 bids for the 19 contracts, which are worth £200m in total, and will lead to an expansion of the existing programme from 30,000 places this year to 90,000 by 2014.
In addition to the NCS Network, other organisations to win contracts include The Football League Trust, Inspira (formerly Connexions Cumbria), Lincolnshire & Rutland Education Business Partnership, New College Nottingham, Petroc College, The Challenge Network and Reed in Partnership.
