Children at charity Capability Scotland's Corseford School, near Glasgow, tested the How Was School Today? software designed by teams from Aberdeen and Dundee universities.
The programme is aimed at helping children with conditions such as cerebral palsy to have faster and more interactive conversations.
Children using the software can create a story describing what they did during the day.
A sensor is attached to a child's wheelchair to track and record their movements, then teachers or carers use swipe cards to find out who the child has met and the activities they have been involved in. The sensor data generates simple sentences to summarise the events.
