
The pathfinders will get £3m between them over the next three years. They will be asked to look at how support for families can be developed to make sure the pressure of caring for family members does not have a negative impact on children.
The Department for Children, Schools and Families is investing £13m over three years in family pathfinders. These will be charged with evaluating how local adult services can be improved by looking at the needs of the family.
The funding comes off the back of the Cabinet Office Social Exclusion Task Force report, Think Family, which was published earlier this week.
