Ofsted publishes new inspection guidance

Education
Ofsted has published its new arrangements for inspecting schools from September this year.

According to the guidance, new inspections will allow inspectors to spend more time in the classroom, focusing on learning and teaching and reviewing the achievement of different groups of pupils as well as individuals.

Priorities in the new framework include; checking the school's procedures for safeguarding, fostering the engagement of head teachers and staff in inspections, gathering the views of parents and pupils and assessing how effectively schools work in partnership with other providers.

Full guidance on the changes is available to download from the Ofsted website.
