The agency is working on a strategy to reduce reoffending, and has published a consultation paper that will lead to a Strategic Plan for Reducing Re-offending 2008-2011.
The main consultation on partnership working asks respondent to consider how adult and youth offending services can cooperate more effectively. In particular with moves between the youth and adult secure estate.
It also asks what the adult justice system could learn from the work that has taken place on youth offending over the last decade.
Other consultation papers consider how third sector and faith based groups can become more involved in adult and youth justice, and how health services can be improved.
