1 min read Social Care
Professor Eileen Munro will take up the post of transitional chair for The College of Social Work next month.

Munro, who led a government-commissioned report into child protection, will chair the college’s children’s faculty for one year from March.

Professor Corinne May-Chahal, interim co-chair of the college, said: "We are extremely pleased that Professor Munro is taking up the role of transitional chair for our children’s faculty at this formative time.

"The Munro review recommended wide-ranging changes to the provision of child social care that cut across government, local agencies and social work.

"We look forward to working with Professor Munro to help put in place the reforms needed to provide high-quality child protection that all professionals working in this challenging area want to see."
