Her call for evidence, which launches today and remains open until the end of July, gives professionals the chance to suggest how they would improve to the safeguarding system.
Responses to the call will form a critical part of Munro’s first interim report, which is due to be published by the government in September.
Munro is set to use the review to explore what professionals believe works best in children’s social care, in terms of early intervention, professional practice, transparency and accountability.
She is urging professionals to provide examples of innovative and cost-effective best practice on issues such as how to improve intimate interactions between social workers and families, and how to make the best judgments to protect vulnerable children and young people.
