
Inspectors from Ofsted, the Care Quality Commission and His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services found that “strong and stable” leadership across a range of partner organisations enabled children and young people to receive “the right help at the right time”.
Information provided by schools is “often particularly strong”, providing comprehensive details about children’s needs and risks, inspectors found.
Operation Encompass, a service where police inform schools about children who are vulnerable to domestic abuse, is described by school leaders as “fantastic” and is helping them to provide support for vulnerable children and their families.
Most children are visited quickly by social workers in the duty and assessment teams and assessments are written to the child, which “enhances the quality of information provided about their experiences”.
