
The list was disclosed by children’s minister Edward Timpson in response to a parliamentary question by his predecessor Tim Loughton, who lost his job in last September’s reshuffle.
It has been seized on by Labour as evidence that youth services are a low priority within the department.
Speaking in parliament, Timpson said the list was drawn up following an initial request by Loughton in December, but was held back due to “concerns about accuracy”, adding that a “comprehensive list” would be too expensive to put together.
The list, which Timpson described as “incomplete”, was released after Loughton pursued the matter with a second question on the topic.
