Fostering provider trade body launches

1 min read Social Care
A trade association representing independent and voluntary fostering providers is due to be launched in March.

The Nationwide Association of Fostering Providers (NAFP) aims to enable independent fostering providers to share best practice and keep up to date with policy and legislation that may impact on the sector.

Independent and voluntary foster care providers across the UK will be able to join the network.

NAFP chair and co-founder Jackie Edwards said:  "We aim to give a voice to the independent sector and encourage shared models of good business practice."

A steering group, which includes committee members from Barnardo's, Compass Children's Services, SWISS Foster Care and Foster Care Associates, has already been appointed to drive forward future plans on behalf of the association and its members.
