Financial training scheme targets youth workers

The Financial Services Authority has launched the latest phase of a scheme that targets youth workers to reach young people.

Training provider A4e will deliver 500 free one-day training courses to youth workers in England, Wales and Scotland over the next three years.

The Young People and Money Programme aims to give those working with 16- to 25-year-olds a greater understanding of how to engage young people in money matters.

Richard Bloomfield, A4e's project manager, said: "By equipping one youth worker with all of this knowledge and confidence along with practical toolkits it can be spread across far more young people, giving it much greater impact."
