1 min read
MPs have warned that the new 14-19 Diplomas are being implemented too fast and without the necessary partnership structures in place.

A report by MPs on the Education and Skills Select Committee expressedserious concerns about the readiness of the diplomas and urged theGovernment to treat the first year of the scheme as a pilot to iron outany problems. John Hayes, shadow minister for vocational education, said: "Given themagnitude of the change it is vitally important that introduction of thediplomas should not be rushed. Yet the report reveals concerns that thetime-scale for the introduction of the diplomas is too tight."
