NCL Waiting Room has been created by Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust for young people in north central London who are on child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) waiting lists.

The platform has been created to meet increasing demand for CAMHS services since the Covid-19 pandemic.

Those using NCL Waiting Room attend a virtual check in session where they can rate and track their mood. This can be shared with their therapist before the first session.

Relevant specialist services, community activities, other self-care apps as well as online games are also recommended through the platform to support young people’s mental health ahead of treatment.
