Norfolk County Council, which is recruiting social workers across all levels “countywide”, is offering a £12,000 “loyalty” payment and £2,000 "welcome" payment to experienced members of its family assessment and safeguarding team (FAST) and looked-after children team.

The welcome payment is available for “qualified and experienced social workers (grade J and above with two years’ post qualified experience) and team managers new to Norfolk County Council in FAST and looked-after children”, its website states.

Continued service payments are offered to level two or senior social workers working within the FAST team.

The payment sees those eligible paid £3,000 after one year, £4,000 after three years and £5,000 after five years.
