Coronavirus: Funding advice for charities

Chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced £750m of funding for frontline charities working to tackle the coronavirus crisis.

The boost is made up of £360m direct from government departments and £370m for smaller charities, including through a grant to the National Lottery Community Fund.

But, how do charities know if they are eligible?

The government has released the following list of charities who may be eligible for funding:

However, it has not yet released specific details on which charities are eligible for funding but official guidance states that “departments will now work at pace to identify priority recipients, with the aim for charities to receive money in the coming weeks”.
