Children’s minister reveals first details of Care Review implementation board

Care Review chair Josh MacAlister and Ofsted will sit on the government’s National Implementation Board set up following the publication of the Care Review’s final recommendations, the children’s minister has said.

“Big” charities have also been asked to nominate those with lived experience of the children’s social care system to join the board alongside people with “experience of bringing about transformational change”, Will Quince told The Adoption and Fostering Podcast, hosted by adoptive parents Scott Casson-Rennie and Al Green.

Quince vowed to announce the full board “very soon”, saying: “Josh will certainly be on it, Ofsted will be on it, I’ve asked the big charities to recommend and nominate individuals with lived experience of the care system because it's important that we have their voice strongly represented.
