#Chances4Children: NDNA staff take on three nations trek to promote healthy living

Early years workers are attempting to travel the equivalent of the distance between offices in England, Scotland and Wales to promote the importance of staying active this month.

Jogging, running and walking around their local areas, 12 members of staff at the National Day Nurseries Association set off on their virtual trek on 1 April. 

Those taking part have so-far traveled the equivalent of the distance between NDNA’s head office in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, and NDNA Cymru office in Ruthin, Denbighshire and are now taking on the distance between Ruthin and Edinburgh.

The challenge coincides with Active April set up by Action for Happiness to promote keeping active as a means to improve mental health.

After just four days employees involved in the challenge had racked up more than 120 miles, the equivalent of travelling from Huddersfield to Ruthin and on to Liverpool.
