Groundwork Green Leaders works with passionate young people who want to make improvements in their local area but need extra support to make it a reality, the charity says.

The free programme, supported by a grant of £34,920 from the Co-op Foundation’s #iwill Fund, offers young people a mentor and support for them to design, create and start campaigns, events and action groups that improve the local environment, including greenspace projects.

The #iwill fund is a £50m joint investment from The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to support young people to access high quality social action opportunities.
