Applications are now open for the Frontline social care founder’s Experts by Experience group, which has been welcomed by the sector following months of pleas to make the care-experienced voice central to the review.

What is the aim of the group?

The Care Review “must put the needs, experiences, and opinions of the children and families it supports at the heart of its scope and findings,” the Department for Education has said.

An oficial documents detailing the application process for the Experts by Experience group state: “The Experts by Experience Group is one of the ways we’ll be giving anyone who has had a social worker (either themselves or a child in their care) the opportunity to share their understanding and views on the care system and play a part in improving children’s social care.”
