The Justice for All campaign, a coalition of more than 1,000 legal and advice agencies, charities, trade unions and politicians, is fighting plans to reduce the number of cases that qualify for legal aid funding, including divorce cases and those involving issues including education, housing and welfare benefits.
Members of the group will be lobbying their MPs urging them to oppose the cuts to legal aid and sign an early day motion calling on government to rethink the measures.
Rachael Maskell, national officer for Unite, a member of the campaign, said: "We estimate that these savage cuts to the legal aid budget will affect 100,000 of the country’s most vulnerable citizens.
