The initiative is designed to get children and young people to have more contact with the natural environment
The broadcaster is working with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds on its four-year Breathing Places learning campaign.
Primary, middle and secondary schools from across the UK can apply for the seeds, growing instructions and activity packs.
BBC Breathing Places project executive Sophie Duncan said: "We hope thousands of schools will join us in becoming wildlife-friendly - especially if they have never done anything like it before."
