The YEF was created in 2019 to support the development of evidence-based interventions that prevent children and young people becoming involved in crime and violence.

Set to run for 10 years, the £200m YEF has already released several funding rounds focused on different issues related to youth violence, including family support and youth diversion schemes.

This latest grant round is looking to fund programmes that are well established and ready for an efficacy evaluation. This means that bidders will need to demonstrate that their project is able to reach and support a large enough group of children for this type of evaluation.

Applications for the Testing for impact grants can come from projects working in England and Wales across the YEF’s eight priority areas.
