Improving Futures

1 min read Health Social Care Youth Work
The Big Lottery Fund has launched the 20m Improving Futures programme to support voluntary sector organisations that improve the outcomes for children from families with complex problems.

It has decided to fund partnerships that provide joined-up support for families with multiple problems at a local level.

How much is available? Twenty grants of up to £900,000 are on offer to organisations that meet the eligibility criteria.

What will it fund? The grants are only available to partnerships that are led by a UK-based voluntary or community organisation. Projects must show they improve the outcomes for children from families facing problems such as poor health, unemployment and debt. They should be using new approaches that can be replicated and improve the sharing of best practice between public services and voluntary organisations.
