Erasmus+ is a European Union programme that aims to modernise education, training and youth work across Europe.

Erasmus+ is a European Union programme that aims to modernise education, training and youth work across Europe.

It launched in 2014 and is due to run until 2020. Organisations are invited to apply for funding each year to undertake creative and worthwhile activities.

What does it fund?

Erasmus+ offers opportunities for UK participants to study, work, volunteer, teach and train abroad in Europe. The progamme is also the main EU fund for youth groups and services.

Outside of the UK, there are 27 EU countries, including their overseas territories, and five non-EU countries - Iceland, Norway, Turkey, Liechtenstein and Macedonia - where participants can go during an Erasmus+ project.
