ACTION

Recognising the impact of past trauma and tackling its underlying causes is at the heart of all services provided by 150-year-old children’s charity Family Action.

Trauma-informed practice forms a bedrock of the support the charity gives to 60,000 families through its 200 community-based services. All of its frontline staff in children’s centres, perinatal services, family support, looked-after children’s teams, and 0-19 services – receive ongoing training and development in the approach.
