Activity Ideas: Places to go - Liverpool

1 min read
Liverpool is the 2008 European Capital of Culture, so where better to satisfy your pursuit of culture and entertainment? This year there will be endless things to do in Liverpool, but here are a handful of the highlights.

This month, the Liverpool Performing Arts Festival takes place from 3 to 7 and 10 to 14 March at St George's Hall and the Town Hall and will celebrate music, speech, drama and dance.

On 17 and 18 May, Hub, the UK's biggest free urban youth festival will take place in the city. Expect two days filled with breakdancing, skating, BMXing, graffiti art, beatboxing and much more.

If you'd like to sample a more traditional Liverpudlian experience, head to the Cavern Club where the Beatles used to play. It now plays host to many upcoming acts.
