School comparisons

The DfE has just launched a new service to find and compare schools online - it's at http://www.education.gov.uk/schools/search and is well worth a look. It enables comparison of schools on a whole raft of information, including school funding. I shall be looking at academies' data over the next few days to see what I can tell about the claims of both supporters and detractors ... Of course, free schools are not yet listed, but this website will provide a useful source of data for analysis over the next few years. Of course, any school should aim to serve its local community, and local communities should look first to their local schools. In my case, I searched our five local primaries (not that I have any direct interest) and the following information popped up:
