Many years ago, as a brand-new teacher, I was the only teacher of A level physics in the school; I had no professional support and though I did my best, I’m sure it was not as good as it should have been. The sixth form college our youngest son attended had a department of four specialist physics teachers in a properly managed arrangement. I know which I think is best!
