Health visitors and children's centres

Yesterday I took MediaChild for his 27 month check up at Linden Children's Centre in Hackney. It was strange to move from covering the issue of health visitors and children's centres on our website to experiencing it as a service user.

The receptionist at the centre was great - MediaChild managed to leave behind his favourite weird wooden cat toys Peter and Sausage, and when I hauled myself back in the afternoon to try to track them down she was very helpful and sympathetic (still can't find them though - if you come across two orange and blue cat heads with odd holes through their noses, please, we miss them).
