Future Talent delivers early support for young people struggling in education.

ACTION

Future Talent, London Youth's early intervention employability programme, focuses on young Londoners of Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) heritage and from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. It provides support for 14- to 18-year-olds whose job prospects look poor.

Launched in April, the charity's pan-London initiative builds on its five-year employability programme Talent Match which ended in December 2018. London Youth is piloting Future Talent with six member organisations in the boroughs of Newham, Tower Hamlets, Lambeth and Lewisham. Four more member organisations will join the programme this year.

The JPMorgan Chase Foundation has awarded £700,000 to run the project for an initial two years.
