BACKGROUND
Creativity Works is an arts-based employability programme for young Londoners, managed by social mobility charity the Mayor's Fund for London (MFL). It grew out of a fashion-based pilot project in 2014. By December last year, 367 young people from 30 London boroughs had completed the programme.
ACTION
The programme is delivered by two MFL partners: west London-based Media Trust and east London creative and cultural education agency A New Direction. Media Trust offers a 12-week structured programme, focusing on multimedia. A New Direction focuses on areas including fashion, festivals, film, spoken word events and advertising.
