
Economic deprivation and the lack of a strategic national focus on child health is damaging the health and wellbeing of a significant proportion of children and young people, a major new report from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) concludes.
The report - The State of Child Health - details findings from comprehensive research on a range of child health indicators from the very first weeks of life through to adolescence. The findings are drawn from 25 measures of the health of UK children, covering a wide range of issues including infant mortality, obesity in pupils and adolescent mental health.
