The fact that early years settings, like most sectors, continue to face recruitment and retention pressures makes the challenge altogether more difficult – a challenge highlighted in a letter to the government last month from a coalition of more than 100 SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) charities and experts.
The coalition called for a range of measures including workforce planning to improve SEND support for children.
