Yet there remains a host of questions about how exiting the European Union will affect the lives of children and young people.

Legislation and protections derived from UK membership of the EU cover many aspects of children's lives, including food labelling, paediatric medicines, immigration and cross-border co-operation to tackle child trafficking, to name but a few.

Through the parliamentary passage of the bill, CRAE, alongside others in the children's sector and child rights experts from academia, have been working to ensure that, post Brexit, existing rights for children are not eroded or undermined.
