For me, being involved in the British Red Cross global youth awareness programme as a volunteer gave me an opportunity to achieve goals I could never have dreamed of achieving.
I went to Nigeria to be involved in the final stage of a three-year programme.
We tried to increase awareness of teenage pregnancy through peer education workshops.
As well as being unified during the workshops, we felt we were achieving something.
To me it has been proved beyond my wildest expectations that peer education not only works but is also an enjoyable and motivating experience for all involved.
