NCB Now: Briefing on school nursing services

Getting it Right for Children and Young People has been issued by the Department of Health as good practice guidance for local commissioners, providers and professionals and sets out a framework for school nursing services in the context of the Healthy Child Programme and the reforms of the public health system.
NCB has produced a briefing for NCB members that highlights the links to wider public health reforms; gives an overview of the new vision for school nursing, including the four-level model; sets out the expectations the guidance places on a range of local partners over the next year; and summarises the key actions that the document reports are being taken nationally to support this.
