Last year I joined my school's Envision team and we decided to bring our community together by putting on a concert.

We organised the whole thing ourselves and raised £1,300 for a local charity that provides holidays for seriously ill young people. This made me realise that one person can make a difference.

Envision is a charity that offers young people the opportunity to make a difference in their community. In August Envision told me it was a finalist for Best Education Project in The National Lottery Awards and asked me to represent its students at the awards show. The awards celebrate all the Lottery-funded projects making a positive difference to their communities. It was a great night, I talked to lots of people including some celebrities and proved to them that not all young people are criminals and we do care about the world around us. Envision inspired me to achieve my goals and to let everyone else know that they can too.
