Broadwater Farm, Tottenham, London Borough of Haringey

What are they doing? Haringey Council is building an inclusive learning campus at Broadwater Farm in Tottenham. The building will mean that children with different educational needs can be taught together under one roof. It will comprise of a 100-place special school, Broadwater Farm Primary School and a children's centre.

What will the facilities offer? The new building will provide modern teaching spaces around a central shared zone including a hall, gym, library and hydrotherapy pool. Outside there will be an amphitheatre, sensory garden, pond and horticultural area, external teaching areas, hard and soft play areas and a multi-use games area.

What do the professionals think? Lorna Reith, Haringey's lead member for children and young people, says: "It's great to see this ambitious project coming to life. The new campus won't just give our young people a fantastic environment for learning, but will also form a central part of this community." Head teacher of Broadwater Farm Primary School Dawn Ferdinand adds: "It will be the new energy in the community that houses something for everyone to enjoy. It is great to be part of the future vision for Broadwater Farm."
