NCB appoints Baroness Ritchie as its next president

Baroness Shireen Ritchie has been appointed president elect of the NCB.

The councillor and cabinet member for family and children’s services at Kensington & Chelsea council will officially take up her new role next month.

As well as her work for Kensington & Chelsea, Baroness Ritchie is a member of the Family Justice Review and chairs the Local Government Association’s children and young people board. She also sits on the board of Cafcass. 

She replaces Baroness Morris, who has been NCB president since 2005.
