The Department for Children, Schools and Families has confirmed the roles of their two newest members today, as Baroness Delyth Morgan becomes the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Children, Young People and Families, while Sarah McCarthy-Fry is now the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Schools and Learners
On her appointment, Morgan said: "Families are the bedrock of our society and I look forward to driving this agenda forward to make this country the best place in the world for our children and young people to grow up."
McCarthy also stated her ambitions clearly, commenting: "As part of the team, I will be working to ensure we deliver on the promises of The Children's Plan and make real progress on the exciting reforms across the educational agenda."
McCarthy and Morgan were brought in to the department in place of Kevin Brennan, who is now the voluntary sector minister in the Cabinet Office, and Lord Adonis, who has moved to the Department for Transport.
McCarthy had previously been working as parliamentary private secretary for chief whip Geoff Hoon, while Morgan has moved over from the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills.
