Funding to improve sporting opportunities available to communities and better people's experiences of playing sport
Funding Sport England's small grants programme helps voluntary and community organisations deliver grassroots sport in England. Grants of between £300 and £10,000 are available. The total cost of the project should not exceed £50,000 and its main target must be improving sports participation and outcomes of sports currently recognised by Sport England.
Funder Sport England receives funds from the government and the National Lottery.
Aim The fund is aimed at improving sporting opportunities available to communities and bettering people's experiences of playing sport.
Who can apply? Not-for-profit organisations, statutory bodies and educational establishments. Applications from individuals will not be accepted. Those applying must be able to deliver the funded project within 12 months and will need to send Sport England a progress report within 13 months of receiving the grant offer letter.
