Financial support to help empower young people to become active members of their communities
Funding The foundation committed in excess of £6 million to charitable causes in 2007/8.
Funder Through charitable donations, The Pears Foundation seeks to empower individuals, particularly young people, to become active members of their communities, by promoting positive identities based on education, social action and volunteering.
Aim The Pears Foundation invests in five main areas: community and young people is one of these.
Who can apply? The foundation does not accept unsolicited applications; it proactively researches areas of interest, creating strategic plans and partnerships with organisations seeking to effect sustainable change.
