I've always been passionate about helping others and making a difference in my community. I volunteer as a young leader at my local Girlguiding group, the St Patrick's Broughshane Guides, organising activities and adventures for girls aged 10 to 14.
I'm also a peer educator and run sessions for girls in guiding on issues such as body confidence and bullying. The sessions are fun and interactive, and the safe environment gives girls a space to share their experiences and become more knowledgeable.
I've taken on charity challenges that have pushed me out of my comfort zone. Every year on New Year's Day, I jump into the freezing cold waters of the Carnlough harbour in aid of Spina Bifida. I cut off eight inches of my hair for the Little Princess Trust and took part in a 10km walk for Marie Curie Cancer Care – a cause close to my heart.
I have also been selected as a #iwill ambassador, after a teacher put me forward. #iwill is a national campaign, run by the charity Step Up To Serve, encouraging more young people across the UK to take part in social action through activities such as campaigning, volunteering and fundraising.
I have lots more charity events and volunteering planned including working towards my Girlguiding Leadership Qualification so I can become a group Leader and create more amazing opportunities for the girls in my Guide group.
