| 22 January 2003

January 20 marked the start of Food Allergy and Food Intolerance Week.

An allergy is a hypersensitivity to a substance that causes your body to react to contact with it. For example, many people suffer from hayfever which is an allergic reaction to pollen. Others are allergic to different kinds of foods, milk products or nuts. Similarly some people are allergic to fabrics or cosmetic products.
