Brathay wins deal to unite the North

| 23 October 2007

The Brathay Hall Trust has won a three-year contract to lead a multi-agency team development programme to help integrate children's services in northern England.

The outdoor charity will run the National College for School Leadership's (NCSL) multi-agency team development programme in the North West, North East and Yorkshire and the Humber government office regions. It aims to build relationships across different sectors with teams working with children, young people and families.

During the next three years Brathay will work with 180 multi-agency teams of teachers, social workers, nurses, police officers and other professionals and volunteers to focus their resources on improving the lives of children, young people, their parents and carers.

Mike Blakey, head of children and young people's services at Brathay, said: "This partnership with NCSL is in line with our founder's vision to transform the lives of children and young people and to develop the children's workforce."
