There should be more information and education about anger management in schools, the Mental Health Foundation has said.
In a report, The Boiling Point, it says there should also be anger management treatment for children whose aggressive behaviour has got them into trouble at school.
It says anger issues should be tackled earlier to prevent lives being damaged.
In the report, Mike Fisher, director of the British Association of Anger Management, says: "If you can teach the skills before there's a crisis, that can be profoundly transformative."
