Leicester City Council is giving information cards to its children's services workers to improve practice.

The Q Cards contain advice for staff on activities they could run, and career development advice on subjects including training and logbooks.

They are based around the five Every Child Matters outcomes, and form part of a wider quality improvement strategy for early education, childminding, play and out of school activities.

Vi Dempster, Leicester's cabinet member for children and schools, said: "I'm delighted that the council is incorporating this new addition into its work to focus on the key goals in helping children."
