Sunak declared Murty’s shareholding in a new register of ministers’ interests, four years after she invested in Koru Kids, one of six childcare companies involved in a new pilot scheme which will incentivise people to become childminders.

The register, published yesterday (19 April), declares that Sunak’s wife is a venture capital investor with a “number of direct shareholdings”, linking to a footnote which says: “This includes the minority shareholding that his wife had in relation to the company, Koru Kids.”

This comes amid an investigation by the parliamentary standards commissioner, Daniel Greenberg, over whether Murty’s shareholding was properly declared.
