Jayatilaka will be taking over the position from interim chief executive Tracey Burley, who stepped into the role following the resignation of Redthread’s founder John Poyton last summer after 20 years in the role.
Formerly chief executive of London-based children’s charity Chance UK, Jayatilaka has two decades of experience as a senior charity and local government leader, including in education and children’s services, external affairs and community engagement.
Redthread is pleased to announce Geethika Jayatilaka will join us as our new Chief Executive at the start of June.
Geethika has a wealth of experience delivering services supporting young people facing trauma. We are excited to welcome her 🌟
